ooooh

I loved this, it was a wonderful little experience :3

I liked the fact that different choices of suitor led to different endings. My favorites were going it alone and with Clare. Honestly I really liked the fact that Zella could go it alone, and could become a great queen!!! the second I read the fact that Zella had to marry or else, I really wanted her to be able to go it alone!!

Aw man, I wish this was longer! You're such a good storyteller, drew me in with your writing instantly and you didn't even need a bunch of background visuals to do it. You really know how to set a scene with a smaller amount of resources and that takes talent. Even so, the game feels polished and put together nicely. Love the character art as well!

As a side note, I think it's wonderful how as a game dev you take the time to update people as you work and be openly communicative. It's very nice to see that with game devs nowadays.

I'm actually starving for more of your work! I'll be adding your other games to my queue. Do you have any projects in production atm? Do you make all this by yourself? You certainly have a way of writing that's magnetic and I just know if you created a full-length game, it would be a masterpiece. I hope you consider it one day!

Cool game!  I covered this in this first episode of my Otome Jam reviews.  You can see your game starting at 0:34.

Thank you soooo much for playing TLQ and taking the time to review and cover it in your video, it means a whole lot!

I'm looking forward to the rest of your Otomejam videos!

I thought this was pretty cool! And I had no idea about BlackRoseMii, so I learned something new there. How I've never come across that as a resource before I do not know because, as a solo dev who can't draw to save her life, stuff like that is so helpful to have when trying to make VNs :3

Anyways, I guess I should put the rest as...

!Spoilers!

I really appreciated the option to have MC decide to go it alone and change the traditions of her kingdom! I thought that was brilliant and it's actually what I chose to go with in the end rather than marrying anyone :D If I did go back and play again though, I think I might actually pick Clare because I warmed to her the most out of all the characters :3

I am super happy to hear you liked the ending! I'd say that one is also my personal favorite, even though I know we're not supposed to have those xd!

And yeah, BlackRoseMii is totally amazing, I'm glad I was able to introduce you to their work!

Lookin forward to all the awesome stuff you'll make! And if you need any help with more public assets or anything, don't hesitate to reach out! ^^

This was a very interesting read, and I was impressed by the writing in the lore and the aesthetic. It felt like there was room for a lot more story here, though, especially to give more time for the characters to breathe. Is this game part of a bigger world, or meant to be a standalone?

Thanks for the kind words, shibalist! <3 And by the way, I love what you've done with Yrsa Major!

I agree there totally was a lot of unexplored potential within TLQ, but this is as far as I was able to get with my current skillset and the resources that were available. I really wanted to add more fine details and actions in the scenes, but without CGs or extra character sprite variations, it felt like the writing clashed with the still characters on screen.

And in regards to your question, the story is definitely part of a bigger world that I would love to visit again in the future!

Thanks for your feedback and for trying out the game <3
